Illinois State Diving showcased strong performances on Senior Day in their final home meet of the season against Saint Louis University. The Redbirds began with a 1-2 finish in the 3-meter event, where senior Eva Reyes secured first place with a score of 294.75, followed by sophomore Selena Corona in second place with a score of 244.28.

Reyes continued her impressive performance in the 1-meter competition, winning first place with a score of 291.68 and maintaining her undefeated record at home on the 1-meter boards at 9-0.

The team achieved eight top-five finishes across both events, including sweeping the podium in the 3-meter competition. Notable finishes included Emma Thompson placing third with a score of 214.35 and Isabel Poggenklass finishing fourth with a score of 201.75 in the 3-meter event. In the 1-meter event, Corona finished second with a score of 231.00, Thompson placed fourth with a score of 203.25, and Poggenklass came fifth with a score of 198.45.

Due to weather conditions preventing Quincy University from traveling to Normal, Illinois, swimming results will be available on Saturday, January 11. Quincy University will compete in the swimming portion on their campus at 3 p.m. on Friday.

Next for the Redbirds is a two-day meet against Missouri Valley Conference opponent UNI in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on January 17 and January 18. The diving events will begin at 5 p.m., followed by further competition on Saturday at Glen F. Henry Pool starting at 11 a.m.
