The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's swim and dive teams are set to host a two-meet homestand this weekend. The events will take place on Friday, January 17, and Saturday, January 18. On Friday, the Titans will face off in a triangular meet against Illinois College and Millikin University from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). The following day, they will compete against the Illinois Institute of Technology and CCIW rival Carthage College while also celebrating Senior Day.

In their last competition on January 11, the Titans faced Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology but were defeated in both men's and women's categories. Notable performances came from senior Carter Dilger from Sellersburg, Indiana; juniors Natalie Porter from Danville, Illinois; Kayleigh Kuschewski from Batavia, Illinois; as well as freshmen Isabella Cano from River Grove, Illinois; Ben Huk from Des Plaines, Illinois; and Jacob Nacional from Bolingbrook, Illinois—all of whom secured individual victories.

Historically, IWU has dominated its matchups with Millikin University. The Titan men hold a 13-1 series record while the women have an undefeated 14-0 record against Millikin. Against Illinois College, both men's and women's teams boast perfect records with two wins each.

Ahead of Saturday's meet against Carthage College, IWU will honor seniors Emily Marks from Cary, Illinois; Colin McKibben from Green Oaks, Illinois; and Alexa Starkey from Normal, Illinois. Earlier this season at the Carthage Classic held December 5-7, Carthage's men took first place while IWU finished seventh. In the women's category at that event, Carthage placed second with IWU finishing sixth. Historically against IIT's men's team IWU has struggled with an overall record of 0-6 but maintains a perfect 6-0 record against IIT's women's team.

Friday’s meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., with Saturday’s competition starting at 1 p.m., preceded by Senior Day festivities at 12:50 p.m.
