Illinois Wesleyan men's swim team to host long-time rival Wabash

The Illinois Wesleyan University men's swim and dive team is set to face Wabash College on Friday, January 24. The meet will take place at Fort Natatorium in Bloomington, Illinois, starting at 5 p.m.

The Titans recently participated in two home tri meets over the weekend. They competed against Illinois College and Millikin University on January 17, followed by a meet with the Illinois Institute of Technology and Carthage College on January 18. The team recorded a win against Millikin University with a score of 90-77. Freshman Tate Thomas achieved first place in the 1650-yard freestyle event, completing it in 17:49.18, leading by a significant margin of 47 seconds.

Illinois Wesleyan's rivalry with Wabash College dates back to the 2011 season. Currently, Wabash holds an undefeated record of 13-0 in their encounters. Their last meeting was on January 12, 2024, where Wabash secured a victory with a score of 157-75.
