The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team has ascended to the third position in the latest D3hoops.com Top-25 rankings. This advancement follows two significant victories, as reported on Monday evening, January 27. The Titans garnered 552 points in the poll, climbing from their previous fifth-place standing.

In a dynamic week for the rankings, Wesleyan (Conn.) secured the top spot with 608 points and 13 first-place votes. Trine University holds second place with 603 points and 11 first-place votes. UW-Platteville received one first-place vote and is ranked fourth with 535 points. New York University completes the top five with 495 points.

Illinois Wesleyan's current record stands at 16-2 overall and 8-1 within the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. Their recent games included an 82-52 victory over Augustana College on January 22, followed by a win against Wheaton College with a score of 90-68.

The Titans are scheduled to continue their season at home this Wednesday, January 29, facing Carroll University at the Shirk Center. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m.

The D3hoops.com Top-25 is determined by a panel consisting of coaches, Sports Information Directors, and media members nationwide. Points are distributed based on a descending scale starting from 25 for first place.
