Continuing its ascent in the D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team has moved up to No. 2 in the national rankings. The announcement was made on Monday night, February 3rd. The Titans secured three first-place votes and accumulated a total of 578 points.

Wesleyan (Conn.) maintained its position at the top of the poll with 621 points and 22 first-place votes, while Illinois Wesleyan claimed the remaining three first-place votes. New York University advanced two spots from fifth to third place with 566 points, UW-Platteville held steady at fourth with 559 points, and Hampden-Sydney completed the top five with 454 points.

Illinois Wesleyan improved its record to 18-2 following victories over Carroll and Elmhurst between January 29th and February 1st. The Titans narrowly defeated the Pioneers in overtime, finishing with a score of 81-78, before securing a decisive win against the Bluejays, ending at 77-46.

The Titans are scheduled to travel to Naperville, Illinois this Wednesday, February 5th for a game against North Central College. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
