The Missouri Valley Conference announced its Athlete of the Week selections on Tuesday afternoon. Kiley Sanders, a senior, was named this week's MVC Female Field Athlete of the Week. This recognition follows her strong performance in the women's pentathlon last Friday.
Sanders achieved a second-place finish in the event, accumulating 3,778 points across five events. This score marks a personal best for Sanders and places her third in Illinois State history for the women's pentathlon.
This is Sanders' second Athlete of the Week honor this season, making her the first Redbird to receive the award twice this season.
