Illinois State University's men's tennis team is preparing for a series of away matches this February. The team, currently holding a 3-3 record, will begin their journey in Indianapolis, Indiana, where they are set to compete against IU Indy on February 7.

Following the match in Indiana, the Redbirds will head to Oklahoma for a doubleheader on February 9. They will face off against New Mexico State and Tulsa University. Both opponents present distinct challenges with New Mexico State being part of Conference USA and Tulsa University representing the American Conference.

Recently, Illinois State triumphed over Northern Illinois University with a score of 5-2 at the Evergreen Racquet Club. This victory saw them secure five singles wins.

IU Indy, who will be hosting Illinois State first, has a current standing of 2-3 as a member of the Horizon League. Their recent match ended in a defeat against Dayton University by 6-1. Despite this loss, doubles pairs Nate Day and Konnor Gunwell, as well as Noah Viste and Kamil Kozerski secured victories in their respective matches.

Tulsa University holds a record of 3-4 after being defeated by Auburn Tigers on February 2. However, they recently claimed victory over Oregon Ducks on January 26 with notable performances from Alex Okonkwo in singles and the duo Okonkwo and Timothy Carlsson Seger in doubles.

New Mexico State boasts a slightly better record at 5-6. They recently achieved sweeping victories over Lubbock Christian and UTRGV with standout performances from Holland Snell and Matias Rojas in doubles and Itay Feigin in singles.
