The Redbirds secured their third team championship of the season at the Columbia Classic, winning by four strokes. The event took place over the weekend in Viera, Florida. The Illinois State University (ISU) team achieved a three-round score of 868, marking the sixth-best tournament score in their program's history. This season alone has seen four of ISU's six lowest scores ever recorded.

Jinyoung Yun stood out with her performance, finishing as the individual runner-up. This marks her fourth top-five finish of the season and her second consecutive one during the spring schedule. Her score of 213 (71-69-73) is noted as the 10th-best tournament score in ISU history. Yun's achievements include five of the program's top 10 lowest scores over her two seasons.

Ranked 79th nationally, ISU surpassed Princeton, ranked 63rd, by four strokes to secure their victory. Dartmouth, Penn, and Seton Hall completed the top five standings, while Emory, Boston, Columbia, Marshall, Youngstown State, Quinnipiac, and Duquesne filled out the rest of the competition.

Morgan Jones finished seventh overall with a total score of 217 (72-74-71), tying for ISU’s 24th-best tournament score. Freshman Jessica Jolly followed closely in eighth place with a score of 218 (70-78-70), achieving one of the best freshman scores in school history.

Lory Paradis tied for 16th place with a total score of 224 (75-77-72), while Elise Fennell ended up tied for 20th with a score of 225 (76-74-75).

The Redbirds will return to action on February 21 when they compete in the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational held in Rio Verde, Arizona.
