Illinois Wesleyan drops to No.13 in latest D3hoops.com rankings

After a challenging week, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team has dropped to No. 13 in the latest D3hoops.com Top-25 poll. The Titans received 321 points in this week's rankings.

Wesleyan (Conn.) remains at the top of the poll with 24 first-place votes and a total of 624 points. New York University climbed to the second position with 591 points, while UW-Platteville, which secured one first-place vote, holds third place with 584 points. Hampden-Sydney and Emory complete the top five with 512 and 481 points respectively.

Illinois Wesleyan's recent performance saw an end to their eight-game winning streak after losing to North Central on February 5th with a score of 72-64, followed by another defeat at Carthage on February 8th, ending at 85-74. As a result of their victory over Illinois Wesleyan, Carthage is now receiving votes in the national poll.

The Titans will return to play on Saturday, February 15th for Senior Day against Millikin University. The game is scheduled for a tipoff at 4:15 p.m., during which Illinois Wesleyan will honor its six senior players before the match begins.

The D3hoops.com Top-25 poll is determined by votes from a panel consisting of coaches, Sports Information Directors, and media members nationwide. Points are distributed based on a descending scale starting from 25 for first place.
