After a month-long break, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's bowling team is set to compete in the Viking Classic. The event will be hosted by Augustana College, a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). The competition is scheduled for February 15-16 at Highland Park Bowl in Moline, Illinois, beginning on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Titans recently participated in the Kegel/ISBPA Collegiate Classic on January 18-19, where they achieved notable results. The team secured the 39th position out of 50 teams. Junior Kiera Henderson from Silvis, Illinois placed 110th individually with her highest pinfall reaching 206.
This marks the first time that Illinois Wesleyan's Green and White will compete in the Viking Classic. However, it is not their first encounter with CCIW rival Augustana College this season. They have previously competed against each other at both the Leatherneck Classic and CCIW Tournament #1. Other CCIW schools participating alongside Illinois Wesleyan and Augustana College include Aurora University, Elmhurst University, and Carthage College.
