Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, is celebrated today on his birthday. Lincoln spent a significant portion of his life in Illinois. Prior to his presidency, he was active in politics as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives and served as a Congressman representing Illinois' 7th district.
