The Missouri Valley Conference has released its Pre-championship poll ahead of the 2025 MVC Indoor Track & Field Championship, scheduled for this Sunday in Chicago. The Illinois State men's and women's teams have been ranked among the top three in the latest poll.

The Illinois State men's team received a No. 3 ranking along with one first-place vote, accumulating a total of 83 points. Meanwhile, the women's team secured a No. 2 ranking and also received one first-place vote, earning a total of 127 points.

In comparison to their preseason rankings, the men's team fell one spot but gained a first-place vote in the pre-championship poll. Conversely, the women's team improved by moving up one spot from its previous No. 2 ranking and similarly gained a first-place vote.

The full rankings for the men's teams are as follows: Indiana State is at the top with four first-place votes, followed by Northern Iowa with five first-place votes, Illinois State with one first-place vote, Southern Illinois, Bradley, Drake, Belmont, UIC, Valparaiso, and Evansville.

For the women's teams, Indiana State leads with nine first-place votes. Illinois State follows with one first-place vote; Northern Iowa is third; Murray State is fourth with two first-place votes; then Belmont and Bradley share fifth place; followed by Southern Illinois, Drake, Missouri State, UIC, Valparaiso, and Evansville.
