The Illinois State men's tennis team, holding a record of 4-9, is set to compete in Arizona against Grand Canyon University and St. Mary's (CA). The Redbirds will face the Grand Canyon University Lopes, who are 7-3 this season, on Friday, February 28.

Following this match, the Redbirds will compete against the St. Mary's Gaels on Saturday, March 1. The Gaels have yet to secure a win this season with an 0-7 record.

In their most recent outing, Illinois State faced a tough challenge against No. 66 Purdue from the Big Ten Conference. The match concluded with a 7-0 loss for Illinois State on February 23 at Schwartz Tennis Center. This was their third match against Big Ten opponents this season after previous encounters with Northwestern and Wisconsin.

Grand Canyon University recently played a doubleheader on February 23 where they split matches against UNLV and Pacific University. Notably, GCU's No. 3 doubles pair of Matteo Lugari and Finbar McGarvey achieved a victory over UNLV's Rebels.

St. Mary's University (CA) suffered a defeat at UC-Irvine by a score of 4-0 on February 22 at Timothy Korth Tennis Complex. They were unable to win any singles or doubles matches in that encounter.
