The Illinois State Swimming and Diving team achieved significant milestones on the second day of the MVC Championships in Waukee, Iowa. The team set two new school records, recorded 14 lifetime bests, and achieved four season bests.

Emma Feltzer led the team with a bronze medal finish in the 50-freestyle. The 400-yard Medley Relay team, comprising Chloe Tyler, Sydney Hoff, Mia Snow, and Feltzer, also secured a bronze medal. Both performances marked new school records for Illinois State.

In diving events, senior Eva Reyes won a silver medal in the 1-Meter Diving Championships.

The new school records are as follows:

- 50-Freestyle: Emma Feltzer (22.80)

- 400-Medley Relay Team A: Chloe Tyler (56.22), Sydney Hoff (1:01.82), Mia Snow (52.14), Emma Feltzer (49.31)

Several athletes achieved lifetime bests during the competition:

- Amelia Murphy in the 500 free

- Giulia Basco, Delaney Boulden, and Avery Watson in the 200 IM

- Emma Feltzer and Mia Snow in the 50 free

- Ella Turken tied her best in the preliminaries and finals of the 50 free

- Chloe Tyler, Ines Kieffel, Hailey Fris, Sydney Hoff, and Alexandra Davis all improved their times in the 50 free

Season bests were recorded by Maya Burkstrand in the 500 free; Ella Glaspie and Shelby Gourley in the 200 IM; Adi Luker in the 50 free.

Day three's schedule includes preliminaries at 10:30 a.m., followed by finals at 6:00 p.m., featuring events such as the Butterfly, IM races, Freestyle races, Breaststroke, Backstroke events along with diving competitions.
