Illinois State softball loses two games at Middle Tennessee Tournament

Illinois State faced setbacks at the Middle Tennessee Tournament on Saturday, losing two games. In their first match against Middle Tennessee, the Redbirds were defeated 6-3. Despite an early lead from an RBI single by Ella Boyer, Middle Tennessee scored five runs in the fifth inning. Illinois State responded with two runs in the sixth but couldn't catch up.

In the second game against Ball State, Illinois State lost 10-1. The Cardinals took a significant lead with three runs in the second inning and six more in the sixth. Adisyn Hopkins managed to score a run for Illinois State.

The Redbirds will continue their Tennessee trip with a game against Ohio in Nashville as part of the Lipscomb Purple/Gold Challenge.
