The Illinois State Basketball Coaches Show will take place tonight at Rob Dob's Restaurant and Bar in Bloomington. The event, presented by The O'Brien Auto Team, features men's basketball head coach Ryan Pedon and women's basketball head coach Kristen Gillespie.

For those unable to attend, the show will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM, the Varsity Network, and GoRedbirds.com. During the program, Pedon and Gillespie will discuss recent games and upcoming postseason matches.

Gillespie's segment begins at 6 p.m., hosted by Greg Halbleib. She will be joined by graduate guards Maya Wong and Elyce Knudsen. Wong holds a record for most career games played in the program with 153 and ranks fifth with 525 career assists. Knudsen has been named Valley Newcomer of the Week five times this season.

The Redbirds recently defeated Southern Illinois 99-86 to end their regular season. In that game, Knudsen scored 28 points while Shannon Dowell added 25 points. Illinois State is set to face Southern Illinois again on Thursday in the Credit Union 1 MVC Women's Basketball Tournament opening round at Ford Center in Evansville.

Pedon's portion of the show starts at 6:45 p.m., hosted by John Fitzgerald and Mike Matthews. He will be accompanied by assistant coach Rob Judson, who plans to retire after this season following a coaching career spanning over three decades.

Illinois State's men's team is preparing for its first postseason tournament under Pedon as they have accepted an invitation to participate in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) presented by Purple. The bracket details will be announced on Sunday, March 16.

Fans are welcome to watch the live show at Rob Dob's or listen via various broadcasting platforms including WJBC 1230 AM and online through Illinois State Athletics' channels.
