The Illinois State women's golf team is preparing to compete in the Red Rocks Invitational, aiming to continue their successful season. The tournament will take place from March 14 to March 16 at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Arizona. The course features a par of 72 and stretches over 6,200 yards.

This season, the Illinois State team has achieved six top-three finishes in seven tournaments. Their most recent performance was a second-place finish at the Rio Verde Invitational with a score of 865. Jinyoung Yun and Morgan Jones led the team with scores of 212 and 214, respectively.

At the Red Rocks Invitational, Illinois State will be among several participants including Grand Canyon, Xavier, Northern Arizona, Cal Baptist, and others. The Redbird lineup includes Jinyoung Yun starting on hole 15A and Morgan Jones on hole 16.

Illinois State has participated in this event for six consecutive seasons (excluding the COVID-19 pandemic cancellation). Their best finish was fifth place in 2022.

Oakcreek Country Club is known for its scenic views and traditional layout designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr. It offers challenges such as tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers but remains player-friendly.
