The Illinois Wesleyan University men's volleyball team is set to face North Park University in a crucial College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match. Scheduled for March 19 at 7 p.m. inside the Shirk Center, this game holds significance for IWU's tournament aspirations.

Illinois Wesleyan enters the contest with an 11-8 record overall and a 1-4 standing in the CCIW, following a three-set loss to Augustana College on March 15. Key performances from sophomore Brenden Reutter and freshman Ethan Kuziela were noted, each contributing ten kills. Senior Vince DiCosola and Reutter coordinated the offense with assists totaling 18 and 17 respectively, while sophomore Bryce Williams led defensively with seven digs and two blocks.

Williams leads IWU this season with 178 kills, averaging 2.92 per set. Freshman Gavin Rohlwing follows closely with 130 kills on a .312 attack percentage, and Kuziela has tallied 121 kills at an average of 2.57 per set. Reutter tops the service line statistics with 22 aces.

In terms of setting duties, Reutter has accumulated 337 assists for an average of 4.88 per set, while DiCosola maintains a close pace with an average of 4.34 assists per set from his total of 282.

On defense, junior Jace Milka holds the team-high in digs at an average of nearly two per set (136 total). At the net, Rohlwing leads not only IWU but ranks seventh nationally with his blocking performance—averaging over one block per set.

This meeting marks the twelfth encounter between IWU and North Park University (9-12 overall; CCIW: 2-3), who have won eight out of eleven previous matches against IWU, including their last matchup earlier this season where they defeated the Titans in straight sets.

North Park recently returned from California after losing all four matches during their trip, most recently falling to Marian University on March 15.
