Round two of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational concluded on Saturday, March 22, with Illinois Wesleyan University's men's golf team tied for sixth place in a field of 30 teams. The Titans recorded a score of 299 on the par-72, 6700-yard course. Two players from the team are among the top-20 in the leaderboard of 150 participants.
Senior Griffin Pohl from Western Springs, Illinois, carded a one-under 71 and is currently in second place, trailing by two strokes. Junior Michael Spitzer from Hinsdale, Illinois, finished even with a score of 72 and shares the 14th position.
Emory and Sewanee are leading with identical scores of 574 after 36 holes. Huntingdon follows in third place with a score of 577. Methodist holds fourth place at 578, while Redlands completes the top five with a score of 580. Illinois Wesleyan University is tied for sixth place with Lynchburg and Washington & Lee at a score of 583. Jonas De Leon from Redlands leads individually at nine-under.
In the individual tournament category, junior Juney Bai from Mokena, Illinois, leads with a six-stroke advantage after shooting a one-under 71. His total score over two days stands at four-under par (140).
