After three consecutive away games, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team is set to play Adrian College at Tucci Stadium on Saturday, March 29, as part of the university's St. Jude weekend event. The match is scheduled for 2 p.m.

During the event, the Titans will wear St. Jude t-shirts during their warm-up session to honor St. Jude Children's Hospital. Members of IWU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will engage in selling 50-50 raffle tickets and setting up a t-shirt sale and donation table.

In their previous game, Illinois Wesleyan secured an 18-15 victory over Calvin University on March 22. Sophomore Timothy McHugh from Orland Park, Illinois, demonstrated a standout performance and was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week. McHugh achieved a career-high nine points with five goals and four assists. Additional contributions came from fifth-year Ike Easburn, who added five points, and junior Noah Dretzka, who scored four goals.

Nick Schroeder, a senior, made significant contributions with 11 ground balls and an 18-for-29 performance at the X. Billy McHugh, a junior from Orland Park, Ill., recorded five caused turnovers and two goals, both career highs. Colin Tervo, a senior from West Linn, Ore., played the full game in goal, managing 12 saves.

Timothy McHugh currently ranks 11th in Division III in assists per game. The team overall ranks high nationally in several statistics, including caused turnovers, ground balls, and overall points.

The history between IWU and Adrian shows each team with one victory: Adrian won the initial game on March 14, 2015, 13-10, and Illinois Wesleyan triumphed in the second meeting on March 12, 2016, 29-13.

Saturday's game is part of a double feature with IWU's women's lacrosse team. The match will be available to follow through live stats and live streaming on the IWU sports website.
