Illinois State's baseball team lost to Illinois at Illinois Field in Champaign on Tuesday, concluding the game with seven hits and two runs. The Redbirds' record for the season now stands at 12-15, while Illinois improved to 15-11.

Daniel Contreras hit 2-for-4 scoring two RBIs, Judah Morris went 1-for-3 with a double and a run, and Noah Smith reached base twice after being hit by a pitch. In pitching, Carter Monke took the loss, pitching three innings with four hits and three earned runs. Ryan Weaver allowed no earned runs in a single inning but walked three batters. MacCallan Conklin allowed five earned runs over three innings, while Braden Roesch pitched one scoreless inning.

Illinois started strong, scoring three runs in the second inning with an RBI single and a two-run double. They extended their lead to 8-0 by the seventh inning, adding five more runs. Illinois State's only runs came in the eighth inning, when Contreras hit a two-run single.
