BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University's men's volleyball team is set to face Loras College in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match on April 2, after the previously scheduled contest was postponed due to weather. The match will commence at 7 p.m. at the Lillis Athletic & Wellness Center.
The Titans carry a 12-10 overall record, with a 2-6 standing in the CCIW. They enter the contest following a close five-set loss to sixth-ranked Carthage College. In that match, Bryce Williams delivered a 20-kill, 16-dig double-double, while Brenden Reutter, who also had 16 digs, led the team with 21 assists. Three Titans contributed with three blocks each.
Williams has been the key offensive player this season, amassing 218 kills with an average of 2.99 per set. Freshmen Ethan Kuziela and Gavin Rohlwing follow with 150 and 145 kills respectively. Reutter tops the service ace chart with 22, while Williams and Ben Zima recorded 16 and 10 respectively.
Reutter and senior Vince DiCosola have managed the offense, recording 386 and 345 assists, respectively. On the defensive end, Milka leads with 154 digs, followed by Williams with 138. Rohlwing has been dominant at the net with 81 blocks, ranking fifth nationally and leading the conference.
Saturday’s match marks the ninth meeting between IWU and Loras, with Loras victorious in the last eight encounters. In their previous matchup on March 20, 2024, Mike Eastman led Loras with nine kills. DiCosola led IWU with 15 assists and four digs.
