The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team faced a 6-1 defeat against Carroll University in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match. The event took place at Evergreen Racquet Club on Friday, April 11. The loss brings IWU's record to 5-9 for the season and 1-2 in conference play. Meanwhile, Carroll University improves to 8-7 overall and 1-3 in the CCIW.

Ryan McCoy, a fifth-year player from Arlington Heights, Illinois, secured the only point for the Titans. He won his match at No. 3 singles against Carroll's Andrew LaBelle with set scores of 6-4 and 6-3. McCoy also teamed up with sophomore Thad Dillow from Effingham, Illinois, to achieve a victory in the No. 2 doubles match, finishing 7-6 after a tiebreak.

Illinois Wesleyan University is set to host Carthage College on Saturday, April 12. The match is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

In the singles matchups, CU's Daniel Ezcurra defeated IWU's Ian Turnbull 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. Adrian Gomez won over IWU's Ben Vigneri with scores 6-2, 6-0. CU players Jack McCaffery, Ryan LaBelle, and David Eman also claimed victories in their respective matches.

For doubles, Daniel Ezcurra and Adrian Gomez of CU managed a win over Ian Turnbull and Ben Vigneri with a score of 6-4. Jack McCaffery and Ryan LaBelle secured the win against Griffin Hammond and Chase Tomecki 6-1.

McCoy and Dillow were the only IWU pair to win a doubles match, defeating Andrew LaBelle and Mark Trinka 7-6 after a tiebreak.
