The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced its Academic All-Conference honors, recognizing student-athletes from the 2024 winter season. Among those honored are 69 student-athletes from Illinois Wesleyan University featured in the Dave Wrath Academic All-CCIW team. Senior men's basketball player Nick Roper from St. Louis, Missouri, and senior women's basketball player Lauren Huber from Lombard, Illinois, were distinguished as IWU's Jack Swartz Award winners.

To be included in the Academic All-Conference list, an athlete must have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 3.30 and completed at least one year of residency at their institution.

The Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference award recognizes two student-athletes (one male and one female) from each sports season at every CCIW member institution, requiring a grade point average of at least 3.50 and one year of residency.

Nick Roper, a unanimous First Team All-CCIW selection, stood out as IWU’s leading scorer with an average of 15.3 points per game this past season. His performance earned him a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 8 Team and D3hoops.com First Team All-Region, alongside accolades such as CCIW Player of the Week on February 3.

Lauren Huber completed the season as the first player in the program’s history to achieve First Team All-CCIW honors four times. Her accomplishments include earning All-CCIW honors all four years, setting the program's all-time scoring record with 1,700 points, and contributing an average of 15.0 points per game this season. Huber was also selected for the Women's Basketball Coaches All-America team.

Both Roper and Huber will advance to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America ballot after being named to the Academic All-District team. The complete list of students recognized in the Dave Wrath Academic All-CCIW team can be found below.
