Illinois Wesleyan University's men's tennis team ended its regular season with a loss to Augustana College on Sunday, April 27. The Titans' defeat in Bloomington, Illinois brings their overall record to 5-13 and 1-6 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) standings. Meanwhile, Augustana College improves to a 12-4 overall record and 6-1 in league play. This win secures Augustana a share of the CCIW Regular Season Championship with Carthage College and North Central College.

Post-match, IWU's head coach Sam Totten honored fifth-year senior Ryan McCoy on his senior day. In the match, Illinois Wesleyan achieved a doubles victory as juniors Ian Turnbull and Ben Vigneri clinched a win at No. 1 doubles with a score of 6-3. Despite their effort, IWU couldn’t capture additional doubles wins and narrowly lost the one-point decision.

Sophomore Thad Dillow nearly claimed victory at No. 4 singles after overcoming a first-set loss to win the second set. However, in the tiebreaker, Dillow ultimately fell 10-5.

The individual singles competitions concluded with Augustana sweeping all six matches. Augustana's Hermange defeated IWU's Turnbull 6-1, 6-3, among other wins in singles and doubles play.
