The Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team had a successful season, with five athletes being named to the All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) teams. This announcement from the league marked recognition for their performance over the season. Senior Mia Fiandaca was distinguished with the CCIW Defensive Player of the Year award, a testament to her impressive senior season contributions.

Fiandaca, alongside junior Sarah Riepe, earned First Team honors. This achievement marks the second time for both players; Fiandaca previously received it in 2023, and Riepe was honored in 2024. Joining them with Second Team accolades were senior Lizzie Rymarcsuk, junior Sadie Newton, and freshman Maddie Gibson, each receiving all-conference recognition for the first time. The team's five awards are the most collected since 2021, when they achieved six.

During the season, Fiandaca led the league with a record-breaking performance in caused turnovers and also contributed significantly in other statistical categories. She becomes the third Illinois Wesleyan player to receive top defensive honors, following in the footsteps of Janaye Godfrey and Mariah Smith.

Junior Sarah Riepe's season was marked by her defensive achievements, placing her high in several league rankings, including third in ground balls per game. Senior goalkeeper Lizzie Rymarcsuk was a standout, logging the most minutes in goal during her final season and leading in saves. She comes close to breaking the university's single-season save record.

Midfielder Sadie Newton earned her spot on the Second Team by being a dual-threat on offense and defense, coming in second for caused turnovers in the conference. Freshman Maddie Gibson made an impactful entrance, securing her Second Team position with notable contributions in goals and assists.

Senior Mallory Mills was honored with the CCIW RESPECT Award, reflecting her leadership as a three-year team captain. Head Coach Abby Kushina and the Titans aim to turn the tables in their upcoming CCIW Tournament Semifinals against Carthage.

The CCIW recognizes not only players but also other standout contributors. Elizabeth Wang of Carroll was acknowledged as the CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year, Abby Tubbs of Carroll received the First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year award, and Michael Hodge of Carroll earned Coach of the Year.
