Three Illinois Wesleyan University softball players have been recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as Academic All-District honorees. Seniors Jen Kuhn and Ava Khoury, along with sophomore Mallory Holland, were announced as recipients on Tuesday, May 27. This recognition allows them to advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.

Jen Kuhn has earned this accolade for the third consecutive year following an impressive senior season. She achieved a career-best batting average of .449 over 46 games and led her team in several categories including hits, doubles, RBIs, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage. Additionally, she was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Defensive Player of the Year. Kuhn's academic performance is equally commendable with a 3.98 GPA in graphic design.

Ava Khoury received her first CSC Academic All-District honor after completing a successful four-year tenure at first base for IWU. She recorded a .375 batting average with significant contributions in hits, doubles, home runs, and RBIs. Her efforts earned her First Team All-CCIW honors and she was recognized as NFCA Hitter of the Week during the CCIW Tournament. Khoury maintains a 3.54 GPA while majoring in kinesiology and allied health.

Mallory Holland emerged strongly in her sophomore year to claim CCIW Pitcher of the Year honors. She held opposing teams to a .186 batting average against her and achieved a team-leading 1.48 ERA with an 8-2 record alongside seven saves. Academically, Holland holds a 3.72 GPA studying marketing.

Eligibility for this award requires student-athletes to maintain at least a 3.50 GPA and meet specific participation criteria based on their position.

The Illinois Wesleyan softball team had an outstanding season with a record-breaking win streak of 25 games and concluded with a 37-9 overall record.

The CSC will announce its Academic All-America teams on June 17.
