The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team has achieved recognition with three players earning All-Region honors. Announced on May 27, the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings and D3baseball.com acknowledged two student-athletes from the team.
Senior Justin Gadomski from Schaumburg, Illinois, received Second Team All-Region honors from both organizations. This marks his first regional awards. Junior Jake Pullam of Palatine, Illinois, was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Third Team All-Region 8, also a first for him.
Gadomski excelled as a shortstop for the team, leading nationally with 26 doubles and setting a new single-season program record. He ranked fourth in doubles per game at 0.59 and led his team with 74 hits and 44 runs scored. He finished third on the team with 40 RBIs and tied for the lead in home runs with six while maintaining a .381 batting average. His season concluded with a .629 slugging percentage after accumulating 122 bases. Over his tenure with the Titans, Gadomski earned First Team All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) honors twice.
Pullam had an impressive season as well, being recognized as a First Team All-CCIW honoree. As a pitcher, he completed 57.2 innings and maintained an earned run average of 2.65, achieving a perfect record of seven wins without losses. Facing 206 batters throughout the season, he struck out 53 opponents while holding them to a .223 batting average.
These accolades are also significant for head coach Michael Kellar who led the Titans to win the CCIW Regular Season Championship and achieve a record of 28 wins against 15 losses.
