Illinois Wesleyan golfers earn academic all-district honors

The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team has been recognized on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams. Four members of the team were honored, including seniors Macy Ludwig, Jacque O'Neill, and Jadyn Spinks, as well as sophomore Nora Cerroni.

Macy Ludwig was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Golfer of the Year. She achieved a 74.5 stroke average over 12 events, won the CCIW Championship, and placed in the top-10 six times. Ludwig set a program record with her even-par finish at the NCAA Division I Redbird Invitational and was ranked 45th nationally by Clippd.

Jacque O'Neill participated in 12 events with an average of 77.3 strokes per round over 28 rounds. She was IWU's top finisher at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship, placing 38th overall. O'Neill had five top-10 finishes and earned all-conference honors by finishing ninth at the CCIW Championship.

Jadyn Spinks received this honor for the second consecutive year with a scoring average of 77.3 strokes per round over 11 events. She secured six top-10 finishes and earned All-CCIW status for four straight seasons.

Nora Cerroni earned Academic All-District distinction for the first time in her career with a scoring average of 77.4 strokes per round over 26 rounds. She placed in the top-20 five times and took sixth place at the league championship to become an All-CCIW performer.

The CSC Academic All-America At-Large teams will be announced on July 8.
