The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team has been recognized for its academic achievements. On July 17, the Titans were acknowledged as leaders in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) for their performance in the classroom. The team had nine student-athletes named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court and also received the NABC Academic Excellence Award.

The honored students include seniors Hakim Williams, Harrison Wilmsen, Marko Anderson, Nick Roper, Shane Miller, and Trey Bazzell. Juniors Karlo Colak, Nathan Boldt, and Nick Tingley were also recognized.

Craig Robinson, Executive Director of NABC stated: "Education is one of the NABC's five core values, and we are proud to recognize the academic accomplishments of these programs and individual student-athletes across our sport."

Illinois Wesleyan was among five CCIW programs acknowledged as a team along with Carthage, Elmhurst, North Central, and Wheaton. The Titans led with nine Honors Court awardees in the conference. Carroll followed with eight honorees while Wheaton and Carthage each had six. Elmhurst had four recipients.

In total, over 2,400 players made it to the NABC Honors Court while nearly 400 programs earned Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25. These awards honor teams with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and individual players who maintained a GPA of 3.2 or above.

In addition to their academic success, the Titans achieved a 24-6 overall record last season. They finished second in their regular-season conference but won the CCIW Tournament title securing an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where they advanced to the Sweet Sixteen.
