The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team has been honored with the American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award. The announcement was made by the organization on Wednesday, July 23. This achievement marks the sixth consecutive year that the IWU baseball team has received this award.

To qualify for the award, a team must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 during the academic year and have a head coach who is a current ABCA member. The recognition is given to programs at both high school and college levels, with nearly 440 collegiate programs earning this honor.

Illinois Wesleyan was among six College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin institutions to receive the award. Other recipients included Augustana College, Carroll University, Millikin University, North Central College, North Park University, and Wheaton College.

In their first season under head coach Michael Kellar, the Titans won the CCIW Regular Season Championship for the first time since 2013. They finished with a record of 28-15 overall and achieved a league mark of 16-4 in 2025.
