State Senator Sally Turner, State Senator Chris Balkema, State Representative Regan Deering, and State Representative Jason Bunting have announced an upcoming I-CASH event to help residents identify unclaimed property or funds. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 20th at the Dominy Memorial Library in Fairbury from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The event is free and open to the public. Representatives from the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office will be available to assist attendees in searching the unclaimed property database. They will also provide guidance with the claim process and answer any related questions.

"Whether you’re looking to check for yourself, a family member, or even a business, this is a quick and easy way to see if money or assets are waiting for you. Stop by anytime during event hours — no appointment is necessary," said the organizers.

Jason Bunting was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois' 106th House District in 2023, succeeding Thomas Bennett.

The legislators expressed their hope that community members will attend and take advantage of this opportunity. "We look forward to seeing you there and helping you uncover any unclaimed property you might have!"
