The Illinois State women's tennis team has announced its 2025 fall schedule, which includes three tournaments. Two of these events will take place on campus in Normal.
The season is set to open at the Gregory Street Courts with the annual Redbird Duals scheduled for September 20-21. The following weekend, Illinois State University will host the Redbird Invitational from September 26-28. Both home tournaments have arranged for matches to be moved to the Evergreen Racquet Club if weather conditions require it. The fall portion of the schedule will end with the ITA Regionals in Champaign, hosted by Illinois from October 16-19.
Last season, Illinois State entered the Missouri Valley Conference Championships as the No. 3 seed and reached the semifinals before losing to UIC, who went on to win the league title. The team brings back three players who received All-Valley recognition: Nicole Iosio, who was named to the All-MVC First Team for singles at No. 5; Sophie Marie Lowe, who earned Second Team honors at No. 6; and Emma Lindh, who along with Elena Jankulovska was selected for First Team doubles at No. 2.
The Redbirds are scheduled to begin their spring dual-meet season in January ahead of Missouri Valley Conference play and will aim for a spot in the 2026 MVC Women's Tennis Championships taking place April 24-26 at UIC.
