The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team finished second at the Carthage Firebird Fall Classic held at Strawberry Creek Golf Club in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Titans, ranked fourth nationally, posted a team score of three-under-par 571 after a final round 285 on the par-72 course.

Senior Myles Lahart achieved his best collegiate finish, placing second individually with rounds of 68 and 71 to finish five-under for the tournament. Four other Illinois Wesleyan players placed in the top ten. Sophomore Pablo Castro finished eighth with two even-par rounds of 72. Freshman Jared Code, playing as an individual, tied for ninth alongside senior Michael Spitzer and sophomore Joey Sluzas; each recorded a total score of 145.

Illinois Wesleyan was closely matched with Aurora University during the final round. Aurora, ranked tenth nationally, secured first place by shooting a seven-under-par 281 to finish three shots ahead of Illinois Wesleyan. Other teams in the top five included Central College (Iowa), host Carthage College, Millikin University, and Hope College. Aurora's Jackson Hulsey won individual honors with a two-day total of ten-under-par.

The Titans are scheduled to compete next week at the Wrigglesworth Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at Eau Claire Country Club.
