Illinois Wesleyan women’s soccer set to face Monmouth College at home

The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team will host Monmouth College at Neis Field on Wednesday, September 10, with the match scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Illinois Wesleyan recently earned its first win of the season in a game against Illinois College on Saturday, September 6. Seniors Kayley Carew and Jenna Gravitt scored their first and second career goals, respectively, contributing to a 3-0 victory. Sophomore Liza Wiley added a goal and an assist, while Taylor Haun contributed two assists.

Monmouth College enters the match with a 3-1 record after defeating Blackburn 5-0 on Monday, September 8.

Historically, Illinois Wesleyan has won all seven previous meetings against Monmouth. In their last encounter—a weather-shortened match—the Titans secured an 8-3 win led by a hat trick from Wiley. Senior Maya Flemming scored twice in that game, with Sophie Lampert and Gravitt also adding goals.

The upcoming match will be played at Neis Field at 7 p.m., with live statistics and streaming available online.
