The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team will compete in the Wrigglesworth Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, on September 14 and 15. The event will be held at Eau Claire Country Club, with play beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
The Titans recently finished as runners-up at the Carthage Firebird Fall Classic, recording a three-under total score of 571. Senior Myles Lahart achieved a career-best performance, finishing second overall at five-under par. Sophomore Pablo Castro placed eighth, while freshman Jared Code, senior Michael Spitzer, and sophomore Joey Sluzas all tied for ninth place.
Illinois Wesleyan is among 16 teams participating in the tournament. Other teams include No. 24 Gustavus Adolphus, Augsburg, Concordia-Moorhead, Edgewood, Saint John's (MN), Central (Iowa), North Central, UW-Eau Claire, Lake Forest, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Superior, St. Olaf, UW-Stout, Dubuque, and Bethel (Minn.).
The Titans will field two teams for this event. The 'A' team includes seniors Juney Bai, Michael Spitzer and Myles Lahart along with sophomores Joey Sluzas and Pablo Castro. The 'B' roster consists of freshmen Jared Code, Ryan Andrews and Antonio Gutierrez as well as sophomore Michael O'Keefe and senior Aidan Healy.
