The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team made a significant move up the standings on the second day of the NCAA Division III Preview at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. After beginning Monday's round in 22nd place, the Titans improved by 12 positions to finish the day tied for 10th. The team posted a score of six-under-par, 282, at the El Campeon course.
Senior Myles Lahart matched his career-best round with a four-under 68. He achieved a five-under 32 on his first nine holes. Senior Michael Spitzer and sophomore Pablo Castro also contributed under-par rounds, each recording two-under 70s. Lahart and Castro are currently tied for 33rd individually.
Oglethorpe University's Jackson Hiller leads all individual golfers at nine-under par.
On the team leaderboard, Oglethorpe moved into first place at three-under for the tournament. Emory University is in second place, followed by Carnegie Mellon and Methodist tied for third, and Aurora rounding out the top five teams. Illinois Wesleyan's score of 282 was not only their best of the event but also marked as Monday’s lowest team score among all participants.

Individual results for Illinois Wesleyan show Lahart and Castro both with total scores of 147 (tied for 33rd), Aidan Healy with a score of 148 (44th), Michael Spitzer with a total of 149 (53rd), and Jared Code finishing with a total of 151 (68th).
In team standings after two rounds: Oglethorpe leads with a combined score of 569; Emory follows closely at 571; Carnegie Mellon and Methodist are tied at third with scores of 578; Aurora stands fifth at 581; while Illinois Wesleyan is tied for tenth place alongside Washington and Lee with matching scores of 588.
