The Town of Normal is inviting applications for its 2024 Harmon Arts Grant Program, which supports arts-related projects, programs, or events. Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 25. The grant application form can be found on the Town’s website at normalil.gov.
Grants awarded in 2025 will support activities taking place between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026. The program prioritizes proposals that take place within the Town of Normal and those that improve public access to the arts, especially for seniors, students, and low-income residents.
The Harmon Arts Grant Program was established in 1993 to promote local arts and is named after former Mayor Paul Harmon. In the previous year, Normal awarded grants to 22 recipients; a list of these organizations is available online at normalil.gov/1050/Harmon-Arts-Grant-Recipients.
Applicants may request up to $5,000 per grant. Proposals are reviewed by the Harmon Arts Grant Committee before recommendations are made to the Normal Town Council. Awards will be announced on June 2.
According to the Town of Normal's website (normalil.gov/HAG), all town facilities are fully accessible. Residents who need assistance or accommodations for accessing programs or services can contact ADA Coordinator Mark Clinch by email or phone at 309-454-9580.
"The Town of Normal wants all residents to be able to participate equally in Town efforts and initiatives. We welcome your feedback."
