The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in a triangular meet against North Central College and Olivet Nazarene University on Saturday, November 8, at the Perry Center in Bourbonnais, Illinois. The Titans secured two individual event wins during the competition.

Thirteen members of the team achieved career-best performances as both squads split their dual meets for the day. The women's team defeated North Central College with a score of 131-53, while the men's team earned a win over its conference opponent with a score of 77-22.

Director of Swimming & Diving Dan Lloyd commented on the team's performance: "I am extremely proud of the way we competed today, especially since we were swimming off events. This was also a great opportunity to race on our conference time schedule with the early morning start. We did a great job of adapting to that in preparing for our races which will be extremely beneficial at the end of the year which is our main focus."

In relay action, Jay Jenkins, Ben Huk, Jacob Nacional, and Tate Thomas finished third in the men's 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:41.50. Individually, Thomas took second place in the men's 1000-yard freestyle (10:30.27), while Nacional placed third in the men's 500-yard freestyle (5:10.13). Jenkins also secured third place in the men's 50-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 22.41 seconds.

On the women's side, senior Natalie Porter finished second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:06.60. Freshman Abby Schnittker continued her strong season by winning her second consecutive 100-yard freestyle event, matching her career-best time at 55.09 seconds.

Junior Claire Paule claimed victory in the women's 1000-yard freestyle with a career-best time of 11:34.79—her first win this season—while teammate Julianna Boyle finished second (12:09.93).

Illinois Wesleyan's next meet is scheduled for November 21-22 at the Beloit Invite inside Robert G. Nicholls Natatorium.
