The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team will host the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament regional at the Shirk Center from November 20 to 22. This marks the first time since 2017, and only the second time in program history, that Illinois Wesleyan has hosted this event.

According to an announcement from the NCAA on Monday, November 17, Illinois Wesleyan is ranked third and will play against Asbury University in the opening round. The match is scheduled for Thursday, November 20 at 7 p.m.

Other teams competing in the eight-team regional include University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Calvin University, Coe College, Hanover College, University of Northwestern-St. Paul, and St. Olaf College. The first match of the regional between UW-Whitewater and Coe College will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Illinois Wesleyan earned its place in the tournament by winning both the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Regular Season Championship and sweeping through the conference tournament. The Titans defeated Wheaton College and Carthage College to secure their second consecutive CCIW Tournament title and received an automatic bid to nationals.

The winner of this regional will move on to compete in the NCAA Division III National Championship. The final eight teams will play for the national title at Shirk Center from December 3 to 6. Ticket information for these events will be released later this week. The full NCAA Tournament bracket can be viewed by clicking here.
