Report: LeRoy spent $10,412 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at LeRoy Community Unit School District 2 is up 10 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Mclean County school district spent $9,468 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,412 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 811 to 778.

LeRoy's spending in 2016-17 was 20 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
