Hudson Area Public Library District Board met Sept. 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Meeting called to order by Vice President Brian Davis at 6:31 pm. Other board members present were Dianne Feasley, Beth Kreps, Lynne Norris, Gwyn Whitacre & Nancy Rinda. Library Director Jenny Losey was also present. The minutes of the June meeting were reviewed and approved as written. Moved by Dianne Feasley and second by Lynne Norris.

Brian Davis was sworn in as an appointed board member by Legal Secretary Beth Kreps.

Library Director's Report Jill Earth was hired as the History Room Library Assistant. Losey presented Summer Reading and quarterly statistics. Summer programs continue to have good participation and the final program is the annual swimming party. Jumanji was a huge success. Losey complimented Youth Services Manager Rhonda Johnson on her dedication to making the program a success each year. Ideas for marketing HAPLD including additional ways to use Facebook.

Legal Secretary's Report The Budget Ordinance 2019-2020-02 Hearing is set for September 10, 2019 at 6:15pm. Losey requested a Budget and Appropriation committee meeting to help prepare the ordinance. Feasey, Hess & Rinda volunteered to serve.

Treasurer's Report Motion by Kreps to accept the June paid Monthly Expense report. Second by Gwyn Whitacre. Feasley presented the June monthly financial report.

Resolution to grant authority to conduct financial transactions on behalf of Hudson Area Public Library District by Treasurer Dianne Feasley and President Ronda Hess was approved by unanimous outcry.

President's Report No report

New Business Davis requested volunteers to audit the FY18-19 minutes. Dianne Feasley and Brian Davis volunteered.

Old Business

Motion by Dianne Feasley to approve the Library Assistant Salary Schedule as presented at the June meeting. Second by Norris.

Annual walk around to access building exterior and grounds. Landscaping improvements will be delayed until State approval of the handicap parking space proposal.

Motion to adjourn meeting at 7:30 pm by Beth Kreps.
