Several streets in Uptown Normal will be closed and marked as no parking starting at noon on Friday, October 10, to prepare for the Sugar Creek Arts Festival. The closures affect Constitution Boulevard, East Beaufort Street from Linden Street to Uptown Circle, Uptown Circle and all vehicular access points, North Street from Fell Avenue to Uptown Circle, and Broadway from North Street to the rear alley south of North Street. Constitution Boulevard will have an earlier closure with no parking beginning at 4 p.m. and full closure at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 9.

A map showing the road closures is available online at https://arcg.is/yD5GG1.

The streets are expected to reopen for vehicles around 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, after the event concludes.

During the festival, parts of the Constitution Trail in Uptown Normal will also be temporarily closed for safety reasons.

Parking arrangements for the event include reserved spaces for vendors and artists in the Trail East and Trail West lots. Public parking is available at Uptown Station Parking Deck, Beaufort Street Parking Deck, and College Avenue Parking Deck. More information about parking can be found at www.uptownnormal.com/parking.

Temporary accessible parking areas will be set up in the Trail West surface lot and along the east side of Broadway north of North Street.

The Sugar Creek Arts Festival is presented by the McLean County Arts Center and the Town of Normal. It is a free community event open to all ages featuring over 100 artists from local and national backgrounds, two live music stages, food trucks, and other activities. The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday throughout Uptown Normal. Details are available at www.sugarcreekartsfestival.org.
