City of Fairbury City Council met Nov. 2.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of Council answered present: Gary Norris, Steve Endres, Charles Hoselton, Bruce Weber, Gerald Hoffman, James Tipton and Bill Schmidgall. Jon Kinate was absent.
3. Pledge of Allegiance
4. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda – Motion by Hoselton, second by Tipton to approve the following items on the Consent Agenda:
A. Minutes from the October 19, 2022, council meeting
B. Voucher Invoice Register listing the bills
C. Treasurer’s Cash Report (second meeting of the month)
D. Check Register (second meeting of the month)

5. Mayor Slagel opened Public Comment and the following persons provided comments:
➢ Deb Moran reminded everyone of the Monday, November 7th disaster drill at 5:30 pm at the fairgrounds.
➢ Rodney Chamness was wondering if anything can be done about the speed limit coming in west to town on Route 24.

• The sewer department hosted officials from three municipalities who came with their engineers to tour the new sewer plant
