In a July 1 Facebook post, State Rep. Dennis Tipsword (R-Metamora) celebrated the news that three coffee shops in District 105  were included in a Top 10 Iced Coffees list from Best Things Illinois.

The shops are located in the communities of Washington, Normal and Metamora.

"Congratulations to (3) District —105 who made this list of Top Ten Iced Coffees!" Tipsword wrote.

In his Facebook post, Rep. Tipsword shared a Facebook post from Best Things Illinois that highlighted the 10 best places to get an iced coffee in the state.

That Facebook post read: “Indulge in the flavors of Illinois' best-iced coffees! Gloria Jean's Coffees, FaireCoffee, The Spot, The Coffee Hound, Caffe Streets, The River Coffee Company, Brewed Awakenings, Grounded Coffee Bar, Brewpoint Craft Elmhurst, Eli's Coffee Shop.”                   

The article attached to the Best Things Illinois Facebook post highlighted shops around the state, including three in Tipsword’s district, House District 105.

The first was FaireCoffee in Washington, where Best Things Illinois implies it’s just like home. Their assessment of FaireCoffee is this: “They say there's no place like home. Well, with this place, you don't have to! Enjoy the convenience of having iced coffee drinks come to you, wherever you are. From events to workplaces, this team brings joy to everyone with a smile and a sip! What are you waiting for? Grab your favorite flavor and cheers to spreading joy. “    

Next up is Coffee Hound in Normal. About this coffee shop, Best Things Illinois had this to say: “Coffee Hound has been perfecting their coffee craft for over 15 years, bringing fresh crop coffee and direct farm partnerships to the mix. Enhance your experience with iced coffee, lattes and more. Transform your tastebuds and cool things down a bit.”    

Eli’s Coffee Shop in Metamora was also profiled. “Eli's Coffee Shop in Metamora is the place to be for relaxed vibes and a taste of the past. Their amazing iced coffee, made with locally roasted beans, will give you the fuel you need for the day ahead. Enjoy it with one of their delicious homemade treats—you won't be disappointed!” Best Things wrote.
