Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse senior Ethan Hart has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America At-Large Third Team, announced on Wednesday, July 17. Hart is joined by Illinois Wesleyan's men's golfers Quinn Clifford, Bobby Beaubien, and Griffin Pohl on the at-large teams.

With these additions, Illinois Wesleyan University's total Academic All-America selections have reached 160, ranking in the top-25 across all NCAA divisions and in the top-10 among Division III institutions.

Hart becomes only the third CSC Academic All-America selection in IWU men's lacrosse history. He joins J.C. Grabarek, who earned Third Team distinction in consecutive years (2018 & 2019).

Overall, 14 of the 45 Division III Academic All-America selections were from men's lacrosse. The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin had seven student-athletes honored: four from IWU, two from Augustana College, and one from North Central College.

In addition to his CSC Academic All-America accolade, Hart received his second Academic All-District honor earlier this month and was named the CCIW Elite 26 Award recipient for the second consecutive season. Majoring in accounting with a minor in finance, Hart was recognized by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association as a School All-American after playing a crucial role on Titan's defense. The senior defender recorded the third-most caused turnovers on the team with 21 and collected 48 ground balls.
