NORMAL, Ill. – A weekly Thursday tradition for Redbird Football fans will continue this fall when The Brock Spack Show returns for the first of its weekly broadcasts on Thursday, August 29, live from Schooners in Bloomington beginning at 6 p.m.

Shows will continue each Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at Schooners throughout the season, including during the team's bye week and into any postseason run. The first show on August 29 will preview the season-opener at Kinnick Stadium against Big Ten foe Iowa on August 31, with kickoff slated for 11 a.m. CT in Iowa City.

Coach Spack will talk with Redbird football play-by-play voice John Fitzgerald and longtime color analyst Ted Schmitz about his team's preparation for the week's upcoming opponent and break down the Redbirds' previous game. Additionally, the crew will be joined each show by a Redbird student-athlete and special guests will join in on the conversation.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com and The Varsity Network. Portions of the show will also be broadcast live on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
