The Illinois State golf programs will host a free junior golf clinic for children at the Weibring Golf Course on Saturday, August 24.

Registration for the clinic begins at 2:45 p.m. and is open to kids entering third through eighth grade. The event will run from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with instruction provided by Redbird golf student-athletes and coaches. Participants are required to bring their own set of golf clubs and a water bottle.

Activities will be conducted at the exclusive team practice facility, the Mounier Golf Training Center. Attendees will be divided into groups, each led by an ISU student-athlete serving as their "coach" for the session. At 3 p.m., Illinois State head coaches Ray Kralis and Breanne Hall, along with several student-athletes, will present a 15-minute demonstration of basic techniques.

Following this demonstration, participants will be split into their assigned groups and guided onto the range to play a six-hole short course in a scramble format. During this time, they will receive both group and one-on-one instruction as well as game overview advice from their student-athlete coach.

Parents are welcome to stay during the clinic to support their juniors and are advised to bring a blanket or pop-up chair for seating.

Advanced registration is required due to limited spots available. Interested participants can register at https://forms.gle/4ekNcRj313JTPmrS9
