Illinois State baseball has announced the addition of Brad Jarreau as an Assistant Coach on head coach Steve Holm's staff.
Jarreau most recently served as an assistant at NCAA Division II Trevecca Nazarene. He was the Trojans' hitting, outfield, baserunning, and third base coach for three seasons.
"Joining the Redbird baseball family is such an honor. I am so excited to work with this team and coaching staff. It is clear that the ISU administration values and supports their athletes," Jarreau stated. "This team has great momentum coming off of last season, and I am looking forward to being part of the success. Thank you to Steve Holm and Paul Kabbes for this opportunity."
Prior to Trevecca Nazarene, Jarreau served as an assistant at NCAA Division I UNC-Asheville, a member of the Big South Conference, working with the Bulldogs' outfield and hitters for one season in 2020.
Jarreau joined the Bulldogs after two seasons as an assistant coach at Northeast Community College.
During the 2019 season, Jarreau assisted the second-year Northeast program to the Region XI championship, North Plains District championship, and a World Series berth.
During his two years at Northeast Community College, Jarreau's teams were awarded six All-Conference selections, three honorable mentions, and one ICCAC Conference Player of the Year. Jarreau developed four NCAA Division I hitters from Northeast's first-ever recruiting class.
As a player, Jarreau spent four years at Middle Tennessee State from 2013-2017. He started in 163 games for the Blue Raiders, producing a career .322 batting average and 213 hits while earning 2015 All-Conference USA honors.
Jarreau earned his degree in exercise science from Middle Tennessee State in 2017 and is a native of Pleasant View, Tennessee.
