BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The eighth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team will host its annual IWU Fall Classic this weekend, Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 14-15, at Ironwood Golf Course. The field will include 19 teams and 124 players with 9 a.m. shotgun starts each day.

Illinois Wesleyan will see two teams compete in the tournament alongside UW-Whitewater, No. 13 WashU, Augustana, DePauw, Aurora, Dubuque, St. Mary's (Ind.), Central, Wartburg, Millikin, Carthage, Rose-Hulman, Albion, Olivet, and No. 23 Grinnell. Overall, the tournament field includes three ranked teams in IWU, WashU, and Grinnell; while UW-Whitewater, St. Mary's (Ind.), and Rose-Hulman are receiving votes in the national poll. A six-count-four format will be used for the two-day event.

Seniors Macy Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony), Kylie Hundman (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic), and Jacque O'Neill (Harbor Springs, Mich.-Harbor Springs); sophomores Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) and Emily Gastrau (Wauwatosa,Wis.-Wauwatosa East); and freshman Gigi Zera (Glenview,I ll.-Loyola Academy) will play as IWU's 'A' team. Seniors Jadyn Spinks (Bloomington,I ll.-University High) and Claire Ancevicius (Homer Glen,I ll.-Lockport Township); junior Brooke Erhard (Champaign,I ll.-St. Thomas More); sophomore Sarah Sim (Hoffman Estates,I ll.-Fremd); and freshmen Grace Fagan(Kirkwood,M o.-Visitation Academy)and Breanna Brown(South Barrington,I ll.-Barrington) combine to form the Titans 'B' squad.

Illinois Wesleyan most recently opened the 2024-25 season at the Redbird Invitational on Sept.8-9.The Titans posted an 11th-place finish defeating three NCAA Division I opponents.Ludwig set the program's54-hole scoring record en route to College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Golfer of the Week status.
